Anyone who knows me knows that I am an advocate for no texting and driving. I know it can be tempting, but every time you pick up that smartphone while driving you’re putting other drivers, pedestrians, and yourself at risk.
That’s why I agreed to serve as an MC and a guest speaker at one of AT&T’s #ItCanWait events today at Heritage Christian Academy in Ballwin, Missouri.
NPR: Pew study shows fewer African-Americans using the Internet than whites. What does this mean?
I appeared on NPR’s Tell Me More program today to join a discussion sparked by a new study from the Pew Research Center which found that fewer African-Americans are using the internet than whites, and that there is a bigger gap when you look at internet usage in the home. Simultaneously, study also shows relatively high cell phone and smartphone usage among minorities. NPR host Michel Martin asked her guests whether this study is this indicative of a larger racial gap in tech, and what this data means.

Until your cable company goes 4K and places like Netflix start to offer 4K streams on upcoming, compatible streaming devices, a lot of the advantages 4K will bring in terms of picture quality are going to be impossible to justify for the average consumer.

Did you know Samsung makes vacuums? Take a look at #CES2014
Here’s one I didn’t see coming. I know Samsung makes popular computers, TV, smartphones and tablets, but have you heard about their vacuum cleaners? It includes something called “Motion Sync” design, which I don’t entirely understand yet. I’ll try to learn more for you!
Sony concept for instant feedback on tennis racquet swings #CES2014
In a concept demo at CES this year, Sony is showing off a sensor you attach to the bottom of your tennis racquet that analyzes factors like swing speed, contact point, determines what kind of stroke you performed, and then scores your swing to rank you against other CES attendees. Really cool!
