Sam Aparicio is an entrepreneur. When he grows up he wants to be like his dad, like Martin Varsavsky and like Steve Jobs (minus the egomania).

Currently, Sam is a co-founder and the CEO of Ringio, the first cloud-based rich calling service that intelligently routes calls to any phone in the world along with relevant information about the caller – making conversations with the people that matter more meaningful and productive.

Previously, Sam was CTO at Angel.com and was responsible for product development, software engineering, data center operations, product management, strategy and technology evangelism.

From its origins in 2000, until March 2009, Sam spearheaded the effort to turn Angel.com into a world-class platform, addressing user needs with technology innovation. Under his product leadership, Angel.com has grown its user base to more than 1500 businesses and its revenue from zero to $12M in 2008.

Prior to Angel.com, Sam was a developer at investment bank Barclays Capital in London. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies from Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, U.K., where he specialized in Artificial Intelligence.
