Hi guys, if you heard me this morning on Chicago’s Roland S Martin show I spoke about the use of technology by Obama’s campaign and how I feel he’s owes his victory to the tech-strategists of his campaign. This was clearly the most successful 21st century run and the best use of the internet in a campaign we have seen. In fact as you can read below in my other posts I mentioned how Ron Paul and Obama were the 2 most popular internet candidates. Bottom line: non-profits, social activists, and grass-roots strategists NEED TO STUDY, analyze and identify with the tech strategies their campaign used. There are incredible lessons-learned to help your organization go well-beyond your goals if you harness social media correctly and build your social equity.

I also mentioned some websites to point you in the right direction:
1. Join your favorite candidates (and Obama’s, whether you are an Obama supporter or not doesn’t matter) Facebook group so you can witness 1st had how the tools are being used

2. Start your own facebook group www.facebook.com

3. For non-profit tech dosicounts and resources goto: www.TechSoup.org

4. For blogging look at tools like: blogger.com, wordpress.com, typepad.com & squarespace.com (what I use)

5. Stream your live events for FREE using www.Ustream.tv

6. If you want to see how you could create your own social network take a look at www.NING.com for ideas.
