Just found out about a company called MashedPixel.com and learned that they are working on a product called Surc. Essentially, it turns your iPhone into a universal remote control! They explain on the site that you can customize the remote (I mean your iPhone) in many ways. You can customize the design of your remote, including the content and placement of buttons. Use gestures to control common functions like channels and volume, and personalize the remote specifically for you.
