Mario Armstrong Media an exciting, fun and fast-paced company is searching for a Script Writer to join their team ASAP! Looking for some extra side money or a new client?  This is a freelance position, and the candidate must be able to work independently from home or a remote location.

Candidate needs to have expertise in producing what we call “Never Settle” content. This content will be about inspiration, motivation, personal development, self-help, entrepreneurship, and mindfulness. Our existing audience is a community dedicated to open and honest communication to help one another pursue their passions and dreams with guidance from TV show host, Mario Armstrong.

Candidate should be capable of writing scripts with easy to understand bullet points for these ideas that will be turned into short-form videos for YouTube and Facebook Video primarily, with additional content that may be turned into Periscope videos, Podcast episodes, or other social content.

The ideal candidate needs to have strong interviewing skills. The primary way you’ll be working with Mario Armstrong is talking to him on the phone each week to generate new ideas and content. From these interviews you’ll need to extract different ideas out of Mario’s head and get him to expand on his notes he has in Evernote to generate ideas, tips, and strategies that you will then turn into fully fleshed out pieces of content. You are basically his “Brain Extrapolator” :-)

The second major component of this job is research. Once you’ve worked with Mario to come up with ideas, topics, and tips, you’ll look to find ways to back up what he says. This could mean everything from finding scientific research that backs up his ideas, finding source material or quotes from people who can support Mario’s ideas and conclusions, or identifying trends that might help to make the idea or tip newsworthy.

About You:

• A talented interviewer who can go deep with a subject to pull out new, unique and interesting nuggets of information
• On top of the latest trends, research, and ideas about tech, business, entrepreneurship, self-improvement, life-hacking, happiness, productivity, mindfulness
• A researcher with great attention to detail
• Someone who can synthesize all of the above into a complete package

Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in interviewing and writing scripts (we will ask for samples and are looking for top notch work)
• Strong Microsoft Office or Google Drive experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time management skills
• Fun, Engaging and Appealing
• Ability to move from the creative side to the analytical side
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Ability to do research and come up with out of the box ideas and content

And most importantly, you need to be ready to hit the ground running!

This position is paying a flat fee between $1000-$1200 a month at approximately 10 hours a week. Please only apply if this description and budget fits within your goals.
